*coughs* sigh... im sick. just seen the doctor. well, nvm. shall talk about co camp!
On the first day of camp (comm camp, or rather comm day, named by yonghui cos she said it's only one day), we went to the MINT museum. It's an exhibition on toys. There're five storeys altogether, so you can imagine the number of toys there are. And the shocking fact is all the toys are owned by ONE man. Oh! Another shocking fact. DONT BLINK WHEN YOU READ THE NEXT SENTENCE! Those toys on exhibition are only 10% of his collection! (cant rmb whether it's 10% or 1%, but i think 10% makes more sense. lol.) Therefore, they rotate the exhibits every six months. Well. overall, I did enjoy myself there. Next, we actually intended to go to Laser Quest. Unfortunately, it was fully booked, so we had to go back to school earlier. In other words, push forward the original schedule. Back in school, we had our comm reflection session. Then we bathed and watched 2 movies. The first movie was a jap movie, 'Be With You', and the other was a french movie, called smth smth Amelie. Lol. The name is so long that I didnt bother to rmb. Well, I like the jap movie. Though it was unrealistic, it was a touching one. My favourite scene is the one whereby the girl dipped her hand into the guy's pocket to get some warmth and the guy held her hand in the pocket. He was also trying to confess his love for the girl lah. It was a very sweet scene. I wish I can have a picture of the two hands in the pocket. So sweet! As for the story, I shant further elaborate. Go and watch, cos it's highly recommended. Hehe. Next was the french movie. Pardon me for not knowing anything about the movie. Cos i was very sick that night. Or rather super sick during that movie. So I spent most of the time lying down or resting cos I coughed till I had sore eyes. Haha! Then Huiyi was very funny. Whenever she saw me lying down, she would ask if I was asleep. Lol. I admit that i closed my eyes, but i told her I didnt sleep lah. After the movies, all of us were so tired that we automatically turned in (without eating supper!).
The next morning was the first day of co camp. Firstly, we had dazu. Surprisingly Mrs Ee didnt prac molihua at all. Haha. And that's a good thing for me cos I didnt have to play my solo. hurhur. After lunch, we had xiaozu. When I was opening the classroom doors, I realised that c402 key wasnt with the bunch of keys. I went back to check my bag, my plastic bags, but to no avail! I was petrified! So I went to tell Yiling that I lost the c402 key. I could tell that she was very worried, but no choice, we had to carry on with xiaozu. During xiaozu, I practised qinqiang with Szemin cos we would be dueting it for huibao. Initially I only wanted to anyhow play it, as long as both of us played together, cos i was too sick and tired to bother about it. But to think again, I find that huibao would be meaningless if we dont put in effort to play. So I started to practise those minor details very seriously, e.g. yin zhun of the high notes. Due to time constrain, we merely went through the whole song together for about 2 to 3 times, practised the san3 ban3 and kuai4 ban3 and we headed for huibao. Though Yiling, Maureen and I randomly arranged the order of performances, I realised that the last few were all duets. haha! What a coincidence. Our qinqiang wasnt the best that we put up. It may be considered as one of the worst cos our kuai4 ban3 wasnt very together and our san3 ban3 wasnt very zhun3. Haha! Szemin was funny. I tried to eye-contact her to hint her, but she looked back at me with a 'why-you-suddenly-glare-at-me' look. Overall, it was OKAY lah. Well, my favourite item was the yangqin duet, tian1 shan1 shi1 hua4, by Peiyan and Wendy (sounds like Peiyan and Randy haha!), cos the song itself is nice and it was being played by pro ppl! haha! Surprising, when Mrs Ee gave comments about our qinqiang, she said our duet was the best she've ever seen, cos of our mo4 qi4. Szemin and I were like... ?!?!?!? Haha! Yup. Like what I've said, it was one of our worst. Well, maybe it’s becos we have been dueting together since primary school? Nvm. Since we’ve received a good comment, we should continue to buck up. Haha. After bathe and dinner, we had night walk! Before releasing the co for night walk, we played ‘The Wishing Stairs’. Unfortunately, due to the poor sound system, the effect and impact weren’t there. At least many of them were frightened by some scary parts of it. Then it was the real night walk. At the first station (the Layting and Yuqin’s station), many didn’t expect Yuqin’s presence and was scared off by her. At the next station (the Yonghui and YI’s station), many complained about the disgusting oats mixture! Hahahaha! Next was Jiaying’s station. Liying said someone grabbed her leg but she didn’t know who it was. Sounds rather creepy… Oh! The next station is the funniest! Huiyi’s station was supposed to drop a doll from the carpark ceiling. Who knows for their first attempt, the raffia string came off the doll and not only that the doll didn’t drop down, it was stuck at the ceiling! HAHA! It was so funny! Ok! Next! I think this is the scariest station. The Hsiu Fan station! They made a ‘big doll’. It was dressed like the ghost in ‘The Maid’. Whenever people walk past it, they would scare them with the doll. Haha! I didn’t really experience it, but I heard screams from that station, so I guess it should be very scary. Overall, I think this night walk was quite successful. Yay! We had co talk after night walk. Yiling asked about what we hope for syf and how we would work towards the goal. Sadly, the co wasn’t very responsive. Even if they were not very responsive, I still hope they do have ideas of how they’re going to work towards the goal. After that was free time before lights out! I actually intended to have supper, but Siying said we could have it later, so we played first. Since it was meant to be sectional bonding, we (the sec 2 xyz ppl) asked the sec 1s to join in our game. (Not that we left the sec 3s out, but the sec 3s were outside m401 with the sec 4 seniors) We played …. Oh no! I can’t remember the name. But it’s a tougher version of Murderer. Instead of owning one card, each person owns three cards. To catch the murderer, you have to surrender one of your cards and guess by opening one of the cards the suspect has. If you guess it correctly, the person has to give up being a murderer and you get your card back. If you guess it wrongly, you have to give your card aka your life to the suspect. As the usual slow me, I always don’t know who the murderer was. But Liying was good at spotting murderers. As for me, I was good at flipping the right ‘murderer card’ of the murderer. Haha! Apparently, Liying hinted me who the murderers were and I would expose the murderers. Though I didn’t get it right all the time, at least I guessed most of them right. See! My theory is correct! My sixth sense is very accurate! Haha! Sadly, Miss Lee made us sleep early. Once again, we didn’t get to eat supper.
The next morning, as we were given one hour of breakfast, all of us (the sec 2 xyz ppl) had cup noodles as breakfast. As we were eating, Siying commented that I made weird noises when I was sleeping the previous night. I was shocked! Cos I rarely make noise when I sleep. Even Hanqing who slept beside beside beside me heard it! Hmmm… While eating, Liying said her leg was itchy ever since she was grabbed by that ‘somebody’ during night walk. This made it even creepier. If it weren’t Peiyan who grabbed her, that means… After breakfast, we went up to m401 to play dai di. After about two to three games, I went to play Animal Mania with the yangqin daji people to train myself (and to show off a bit. Haha! Cos I had improved a lot compared to the previous time I played with Shawn) Indeed, I had improved a lot! But there’s once, I still got the actions mixed up. :X Then we played blackjack. As you know I’m slow, I only ‘hit’ the card when I saw people hitting. Only then, I realized that Cassandra is my tong2 lei4! Haha! Maybe she wasn’t very sure about how the game goes, so she was very hesitant in ‘hitting’. Apparently, she’s always the last. So I told her my trick, which was to follow people to hit whenever they did so. Lol. After that we had telematch. I felt that this year’s games were creatively planned. Oh! And from the telematch, I’ve learnt about what Mrs Ee’s favourite question is – Is the aircon on? Lol! After prize giving, the co was released and the comm took a picture together. Without the comm’s effort, the camp wouldn’t be so fun and successful. Thank you and well done comm! Finally, it’s time to face the music. Yiling and I went to the office to report c402 key lost. Before informing the staff, Yiling flipped through the book and realized that Ms Lee didn’t even draw c402’s key at all! Then we looked at the previous records and discovered that the key was lost by someone else already. PHEW! I wasn’t the one who lost the key! We were super relieved to know about it. Well, this is a lesson that I should learn. Cos Ms Lee told me to check if all the keys were there when she just handed me those bunch of keys. But I simply joined the comm for comm reflection without checking, that’s why I didn’t know that she didn’t even draw the key. Besides, whenever someone borrowed the bunch of keys from me, I didn’t check if all the keys are still present. See how careless I was. Now that I’ve learnt my lesson, I will take extra care of those keys and do my job to my utmost best since my only task is to be in charge of the keys.
Ahhh… Im gonna leave for China tmr! But I don’t seem to have the excitement. Sigh. See ya soon!

After a long period of hectic practices, everything has finally come to an end. Sad? Happy? Glad? I dont know what words can describe my feelings, but without those co practices, it's just like something has been removed from my life.
On our way to tpwcc, Jeanette, Szemin and Layting started saying that they felt nervous. If they didnt mention about it, I wouldnt even think of it, cos I wasnt nervous at all. But after hearing them talk about it, I began to feel scared. I wasnt nervous, but scared that I would srew up on stage, partly becos we just changed our fingerings for the kuai ban of chun si the previous day. When we got out of the mrt station, a familiar barbeque smell attracted me. YES, it is none other than the otah's smell! The otah man was selling otahs near the mrt. I love his otahs! I still can remember myself eating 9 of his otahs at one go the other time. Apparently, I bought some. Jeanette was quite tempted becos of my influence, so she bought too.
Then we reached the cc. The 'winners' group was practising in the hall while the 'victors' group practised in our usual practice room. Upon reaching, I saw Szuan! She went China for 6 wks (if im not wrong) and she just returned a few days ago! I was elated to see her cos i've not seen her for a long time!! Hehe. After some prac, we had our lunch. Then, we went back for a few times of rehearsals cos zls wanted to listen and record. Though many people from my group said that we've improved a lot, I still felt that our mo qi wasnt good. When I heard the other group (the 'victors' grp) play, I felt that they were impressive cos I was impressed by their crescendos and decrescendos. Oh! Not only that! When they just started playing si lu tuo ling, I was attracted by a mysterious sound of bells. I tried to find who was playing it. I thought it would be Derek, the percussionist, playing it, but he wasnt holding on to anything at all. I asked Wanglong who played and he said it's Derek. When I told him that he seemed to be holding nothing, he said Derek must be probably too pro, that's why even when he plays, he seemed to be not playing anything. Lol. In the end, Sijia told me that it was Denise who was playing it. HAHAHA! And I like their xianyue too! haha! As we went to change, Sijia and I were dicussing about the results. We both have same sentiments. We knew that the 'victors' group would get first and we have lower chance of getting first, we did not wish to lose to PA. But we had a feeling that the judges might not let both ge teams to get first and second cos ppl might think it's not fair or we bribed the judges. hahaha!
After everything, we packed and headed to SCH. On the bus, we were all busy writing cards for our 'saviours'/'supporters' and b'day girl (Moses, Rozie, Uncle Peter, Mdm Tan and Marilyn). Now that I mentioned all of them, I suddenly felt that we should also write a card for the indian uncle who always opens and locks the door for us. You may think that this is a trivial matter and it's smth that a cc worker like him should do, but becos of competition, we pracced until super late, so he's always the last worker to leave the cc and he doesnt get any OT pay. Halfway on our journey, a group of 'acapella singers' started to sing weird songs that amused all the people on the bus. Well, I should clarify that it's not their wonderful voices that amused us, but their awful harmonies. As a random comment, Shijun said that if they were to sing in front of a tuner, the 'needle' will flicker from the the extreme left to the extreme right non-stop. LOL! Oh! Then we passed by the Singapore River! We saw our white balls floating on the river! Those white balls were the ones that we wrote our wishes on at esplanade!
Soon, we arrived. Time was rather packed. Right after tuning, we headed for backstage. Initially I wasnt nervous, but the wait at the backstage made me had 'butterflies' in my tummy. As usual, Wanglong gave us an inspirational talk before performing. Finally, we performed. I was super tensed up at first cos i was afraid that i would screw up the chun si kuai ban. Overall, everything went smoothly. All thanks to Wanglong's wonderful solo. (: After our performance, I ran down to put my erhu and rushed up with Mic to watch PA's performance. PA was quite strong too. Just like what Moses have said, their mo qi is the best among all of us. This is becos they practised the same song for many years alrdy. Even their actions are the same. Lol. But again, I like the 'victors' grp's performance most! Btw, I recorded the songs that both geco grps played.
After competition, I ordered pizza for dinner. Unfortunately, there was not enough. Very sorry to people who didnt get to eat for dinner. Then, Jeanette, Sijia, Michelle and I went around to take pictures. But this time round we didnt take much pictures. Oh! When we were at the second level, we took the new programme bklet. There were pictures of the prize winners. Derek's picture amused me most. I would laugh whenever i see his picture. Lol. Dont believe? See it yourself and i bet you will laugh too! hahaha!
During the prize winners concert, all of us were very impressed by an eight-yr-old girl, hairou's performance. She's super cute okay! She won first in guzheng junior category. It's really 'never judge the book by its cover'. Next was a yangqin solo by the yangqin open category champion. He plays the yangqin effortlessly. Next was Jeremy's pipa solo. He's so 'Samuel'. Lol. Samuel is his pipa teacher. Not only that he plays like Samuel, he walks like Samuel and behaves like Samuel. Michelle and I even think that he's a photocopied copy of Samuel. Haha! NEXT UP! Wanglong's di yi er hu! Hehehehh.. I recorded it down. Other than the word 'pro', I cant think of other words to describe him. Then, it's the prize presentation ceremony! Whenever a ge member receive a prize, we would cheer and applaud very loudly for them. Finally, it's time the emcee announce the winners for ensemble category. At first, the emcee asked us to shout the names of the finalists. For us, other than the words 'jingying', we have no other names to call cos we're both named jingying! hehehe!! "Third prize goes to................................. PA!!!" When we heard this, all of us took a second to realise that that means both ge groups won the first and second prize! In other words, all of us started cheering after 1 second. hahhaha! As the usual retarded and laggy couple, both Michelle and I took 3 seconds to realise it. However, we were so happy at that moment that we gave each other a big hug. Indeed, I think it was the happiest moment in my life, becos that was the FIRST time i was SO HAPPY that my tears crowded in my eyes. I didnt cry lah. And i didnt make my tears ooze on purpose ok! I merely smiled and it oozed out by itself. haha! So impactful. After the concert, I saw all the prize winners queuing outside to receive smth. So I asked Wanglong what they're queuing for. He told me that the certificate that they received on the stage is juz a blank piece of paper, and they had to exchange for their real certificate. Then I looked into the fake cert. It was really blank! I was amazed by it! To think all of them had to carry a blank piece of paper on stage... HAHAHA! We went back to the room to pack our instruments and went up to take pictures once again.
As predicted, all of us were super high in the bus. Guess what? Zls said he's giving us a supper treat! At first, all of us couldnt decide on where to go for supper, but in the end, we decided to go to the hawker at Newton Circle cos it's very near to zls's house. There was a big group of us. Imagine such a big group of people traveling from toa payoh to newton. lol.
Over there, all of us ate a lot of food. Though I had sore throat, I decided to forsake it and eat heaty food since it's a happy occasion. Until about 12.40, my mum called and sent the 'woodlands gang' home.
I know I may sound a bit long-winded, but i would like to thank the following people.
Moses - Thank you for guiding our group. Though you always scold us, you care a lot for us. Because of us, you cancelled or postponed many of your important matters. Because of our scores problems, you stayed up late to vet over and rewrote for us. For our sake, you came for practices despite being sick. Thanks a lot for all the effort. Hopefully a second prize can be a return of our appreciation. hehe! (:
Wanglong - Thanks for leading our group! You've been a great leader. I know we've always been very naughty and talkative and not paying attention of what you say. hehe. So thanks for your patience and tolerance. You rock! (:
GECO - Thanks everybody! Geco has given me many wonderful memories! Hope we'll rock on! (:
Though the hectic practices have ended, I look forward to the next geco practice cos by then, both groups will reunite! YAY! I really miss having practices with people from another group! And I bet people from another group miss having practices with us too! haha! No matter what, geco is united and geco rocks! (:

i really enjoyed myself yesterday. yesterday, i watched yangqin youth category and erhu open. yangqin youth's prelim song is pretty long. most performed rather well. most zls/xls's students in erhu open were very impressive too! guess i still have a LONG way to go to reach their standards. nvm. shall jiayou! after hearing what xls said this morning, i really think it's true. she said that competition is not only about skills, it's also about luck. u may be better than someone, but that someone gets into finals instead. this shows that you just dont have the luck. actually many of us thought joshua and huiling will get into finals, but they didnt. perhaps this is luck. haha. this reminds of my mother. when i told her that xls said actually they thought i had a high chance of getting into finals but maybe i dont have the luck, my mother blamed me for not praying before i left for competition that morning. Lol! but nvm. to those who didnt get into finals, work harder n pray harder next time! haha!
when i saw the calendar this afternoon, i realised that my days are numbered. lol! after nac competition is co camp, then im going on a holiday, when im back, we'll have qing gong yan and some other outings n school will reopen! :O! ge has prac everyday next wk. so i have to squeeze time next week to complete my hw. ahhhh! if i dont complete my hw by next wk, i think i wont have time to do anymore. this reminds me of tuition. sigh. i've postponed it for weeks. really very sorry. sorry to yiling and maureen too. i know that i've been apologizing to the both of u for the past few days, but IM FEEL VERY BAD N GUILTY to leave all the things to the both of you to do. besides, it's a tough job for you two to even plan a meeting time which all of us can attend. sigh. okay. i'd better go and do hw now! jiayou to all nac competition finalists! (:

hehe. this morning i woke up at 7am. since i was still in sleeping mode, i went to bathe first before i prac. at that time, i was super nervous. but after i prac, i feel more secured. until when i see those gd luck msgs again, i started to feel nervous. lol. but after a while, i calmed down again.
at about 10.15, i went downstairs and boarded the taxi that i booked in advance. when i reached city hall mrt station, i waited shijun for about 15min. while standing over there, many people looked at me weirdly, probably because of the way i was dressed. i found myself weird too. finally he arrived. i think we looked very weird as we walked together cos he's super tall and im super short. that's a drastic difference. walking along the city link to esplanade tunnel seemed like walking towards hell. the tunnel was so cold and quiet. it made us even nervous. luckily we chatted and kind of laughed about craps, so we were not that nervous. however, we saw limyang going up the escalator when we were about to go down. he said he had finished his performance already. then we were like ... omg! it's gonna be our turn soon.
when we reached our holding room, we saw zhengwei, jiawei and her fren and a guy called junru. the guy looked rather cold, but quite pro. haha. he played effortlessly. Not only shijun and I felt that he looks a bit like Moses, a few more people felt the same way too! But I know many think that Moses is cuter than him. LOL! at first, jiawei, shijun and i played qinqiang together. somewhere near the end, shijun gave me some comments. then he said i might stand a chance to get into finals. that really boosted up my confidence level. haha! after some practising, we started chatting. haha. when i got to know from jeanette that after intermission is the eighth contestant, i began to get nervous once again, so i went to the toilet. then shijun said he also wants to go, so he's gonna go with me. jiawei and her fren thought it sounded wrong so they gave him a weird look. haha! at first i thought it sounded wrong too but i realised that both there's only one toilet for both genders in the room, so there's not problem with sharing the same toilet (there're cubicles inside lah!).
Very soon, it was my turn next. As I walked towards the stage, the person-in-charge gave me instructions like you have to bow blah blah blah... That time i was so nervous that I didnt pay attention to what she was saying. When I finally realised that she was talking to me, I had to ask her to repeat the whole thing again. haha! Before me was Limqing. As I sat on the chair near the stage door, I heard her play and used my left hand to play with her, just to warm up my hand in case it gets tensed. FINALLY, it's my turn. as you know this is my first erhu individual competition in my life, and also my first time entering the recital studio, i didnt know that there're many echoes in the room. when i played the first few notes, i felt that my 32 has yin1 tou2, 3 also has yin tou, but my 1 sounded quite weak, asi f there's no yin tou! and there was so many echoes that you dont know which is your true sound lah! fortunately i managed to get over with it. but dont know why, just when my ying3 zi was about to end, my right hand started to tremble. I dont know whether I was nervous or what, but I was less nervous on stage compared to waiting for my turn at backstage. So at the jian1 jian1 xiao1 shi1 part, if you listen very carefully, you can hear that my right hand was trembling. haha! Mic said that it added effects to it. haha! My first 'paragraph' was pretty fine. My kuai ban was cmi as per normal. But i think it has improved already, i mean my high soh is more zhun3 alrdy. haha! Among so many times of qinqiang that i've played, i've truely concentrated twice only. One of the two times was this morning's performance. Unfortunately it didnt sustain till the last. When I realised that my song was ending, my soul kind of lit up. I began to lose concentration and had that feeling of wanting to finish it asap. So i think my last part wasnt as good bah. When it came to my last note, it was just like a bang on my head, waking me up from qinqiang, and telling me that it's going to end! i suddenly got so happy that i forgotten to stop for a few seconds before standing up to bow. I BOUNCED off my seat and bowed right after I finished. Only when I stood up halfway then I remembered about that. haha! ok. but it was too late. thank you limqing for waiting for me that time. haah! after i packed up my things, the both of us left the backstage and headed to the audience seats. On our way, there was a booth near the entrance. It was citibank i think. they prepared big white balls for people to write their new year wishes on it. We thought it was rather fun, so we wrote our wishes. Then as we continued walking, we saw peiqian and a few of her frens. Limqing said hi to her, but she replied hi in a awkward tone, probably because she doesnt know us. So limqing said oops, i dont think she knows us right after their hi-ing. She said it so loudly that peiqian and company heard it, so all of us laughed. Lol! It was so funny lah! As it was going to be lunch break soon, we were not allowed to go in and watch, so we had to watch from the tv outside.
For lunch, Mic, nette and i went to marina square's kfc. From esplanade till there, I kept asking questions about how i did. They said i did pretty well, but i was still so paranoid that i bombarded them with loads of questions. After lunch, we rushed back to continue watching. oh! before i continue, i would like to thank limqing's mother for helping me return my pass! haa!
From the performances that i've seen, I can see that there're at least three different instructors' students participating in this competition. Other than zls's , I felt that the other version is QUITE nice, but a bit too draggy. The other one is slightly better, but the students playedthe old version of qinqiang, which was different from the scores that nac sent to us. And it was a serious mistake cos my notes were different. During the intermission before wanhua's performance, the three of us took a long time to write our new yr wishes that i were late by a few seconds. in other words, if we reached a few seconds earlier, we wouldnt have been locked outside. Having no choice, we could only watch wanhua play from the tv outside. She played pretty well. She fang4 de2 kai1. haha! Zls was also outside then, he took out his hp and recorded a video from the tv of her performance. Then wanhua came out and joined us. After a while, she saw her fren, James, who was also one of the contestant. He's very funny. He went to the wrong entrance. He thought the entrance to the audience seat was the right entrance to report to. As we were not allowed to bring our instruments into the studio, he was being called upon to leave his erhu outside before he could enter the studio. He was so shocked lah! Cos he thought why he couldnt bring in his erhu when he's going to compete. Lol! Luckily wanhua came to his rescue and brought him to the right place to report. Haha! Btw, he has super long fingers! When he was playing juai4 ban3, his whole body was very still except for his left fingers. So it looked as if his fingers were a flapping flag (cos his fingers were super long and he didnt have to lift his fingers high or far to reach notes). OH! Besides, he's also super tall!! Guess what?! When he sits down with an erhu, HE IS TALLER THAN THE ERHU! NO KIDDING OK! well, the next performance that impressed me was jessica's. Though her kuai4 zi4 was super fast, her yin1 was still very zhun3, yin se + yin zhun + gan qing all very gd, indeed a PRO! haha! i bet she'll get top three. As the competition got near to the end, wanhua's stomach began to groan. Her first groan was SUPER LOUD. Lol! After a few groans, it became Yiqing's stomach's turn to groan. LOL! They took turns to groan lah! SO FUNNY!
Finally, the competition came to an end and the results were out. The finalists are Lim Yang, Kwuan Boon, Jun Ru, Lim Qing, Keng Yang, Dian Wen, Gloria, Wan Hua, Hong Xuan, Zhi Wen, Cai Feng and Jessica! OH! Btw, im contestant no. 10 lah. When the emcee wanted to announce no. 18, she said (in chinese),"shi2 ....... ba1 hao4!" WAH! Both jeanette and I were shocked for that split second lah! haha!
so afterall i didnt get in. though i was a bit disappointed at first, im fine alrdy. cos this is my first time joining an erhu individual competition, now that i know the competition better, im sure i'll do better the next time! moreover i still have 2 more chances to join erhu YOUTH category. haha! LAST BUT NOT LEAST, thanks to all the people who have been encouraging and supporting me! (: To people who are in finals: MUST JIAYOU OKAY! (:

YAY! Indeed, both grps got into finals!
This morning, as usual, I woke up early to practise. Then I went to Evergreen Primary School with Szemin to look for xls cos she wanted to listen to our qinqiang. Since I was leaving at around the same time as my mother, I decided to take a free ride from her. Strangely, she took a taxi instead of driving her company's car. Due to the mrt station suicide, all mrts were stopped in the morning and many employees had to hire cabs to work. Apparently, there was not a single taxi available, so we waited for 45min, till we finally saw a taxi. Poor Szemin had to wait for me for 40min.
After we left, we headed to the cc's hall and joined in the yulinling, which was played halfway through. Then, Michelle, Sijia, Layting, Szemin and I went to change into our costumes first, and then we had our lunch. Just like yesterday, the HEALTH CONSCIOUS Sijia started complaining about how oily the chicken rice was. But it' true that the rice was very oily lah. While waiting for the bus, chris gave all of ur a Fox's sweet. Many people began to blow with the sweet wrapper. hurhur. Soon, the bus arrived and we left for SCH. woohoo...
When we reached SCH, we were 1h earlier. As usual, Mic, Sijia, Jeanette and I crapped again. Oh! Not only that! We also took pictures togther! When we were crapping, we saw Mrs Ee entering SCH. After reading the booklet, we then realised that she's one of our judges! Oh! I also saw Huichi there! She was my group member of the hcco interaction. She's in Yew Tee CC CO, which means she's our opponent! :O!
At backstage preparing to perform, we encouraged one another and wanglong told us the yulinling story again. FINALLY, it was our turn. When I just sat down, I realised that there was a white patch of rosin on my blouse. I didnt wipe away because I would look very ugly if I did that on stage. When I played bar 17, I suddenly realised that my bow was rather tight, but having no choice, I had to play the subsequebt parts with it until my rest. Dont know why, because of that, I was quite scared to play. Lol. As an overview, though it wasnt one of our best, it still sounded pretty ok.
At the third performance, Mic, Sijia and I went in to watch the subsequent groups. Haha. This is the benefit of being the first group. However, we still missed the second performance lah. Tamesek was so so. Braddell Heights was OKAY, but had no feelings in their song. The songs they played were happy, but they didnt seem lively at all. PA Youth CO was not bad. Their tai2 feng1 is quite good. They played as if the whole orchestra was bouncing. I felt that the erhu boy (first row, third from the right) moved as if he was running! His head was moving, his arms were swaying freely and even his legs were 'FLOATING'. LOL! Someone (i think it's michelle) told me that the liuqin girl bounced so vigorously as if she's gonna fall off the stage lah! HAHA! But they were impressive! (: Finally, it's the last group, COnbrio, another group that we sent! Apparently, the GECO grouped clapped very loudly for them. hurhur! They did well too! Oh! Yiling gave me a magnetic necklace that she bought from China. Amazed by it, I immediately wore it and kept meddling with it. hehe. The weird Junzhi said that it looks kind of arabic. I bet he's jealous man. haha! Anyway, I think the necklace suits my black suit!
During the results announcement, my mother suddenly called me. But i quickly answered and hung the phone. Just after I hung up, I heard "No. 1" then people started cheering. Then I realised that no.1 was our grp number and we got into finals! HAHA! all thanks to my mother who made me not listen properly. haha! As I had expected, PA Youth CO and COnbrio got in too! Upon hearing our grps' numbers, we cheered for one another! we were so high!
After competition, we went to take pictures again. Haha! As expected, we got high on the bus again, but not as high as the previous night because most of us were tired already. After returning to the cc to collect our bags, Sijia, Mic, Layting, Szemin, Peiyan, Jeanette and I went to eat western food. It was drizzling. Peiyan, Sijia and I walked there without umbrella while the rest shared 2 umbrellas 2 each. When the three of us reached the lift first, we said that they were very slow. Then Jeanette came out with a theory, saying "People holding umbrellas walk slower". Sijia reacted very quicly and said,"DUH!" and they started laughing again. Actually I also dont know why they laughed, but probably because Sijia reacted very quickly to the common sense theory while Michelle took a long time to realise that it's a very common sense thing. AGAIN, Sijia complained about how oily the chicken cutlet was. Indeed, it was VERY OILY. lol. Only smart Jeanette ordered chicken chop. When I randomly said that I should have ordered spaghetti, Jeanette said,"Haha. Too late!". But Sijia said,"You want? You can go and order now. It is never too late." LOL! She sounded like a priest when she told me that lah! After Jeanette finished her share first, she sat there and laughed at how all of us forced ourselves to finish ours. The chicken was SO oily that I felt oil instead of saliva in my mouth! Spastic Sijia commented," Huh?! You mean you are drinking oil?" LOL! In the end, I couldnt stand the chicken anymore. I peeled its skin off before I eat the meat. Then Sijia said I striped the chicken and now the chicken is so naked. LOL!! SO FUNNY LAH! CHICKEN BECOMING NAKED! LOL! Randomly, Szemin said as she stuffed some ice into her mouth,"Aiyah... no more ice for me to cleanse the oil." Then Sijia burst into laughter. Because she said the ice will solidify the oil in her stomach even faster. It was so funny lah! When Szemin knew about it, she felt like vomiting the ice out but it was too late. HAHA. Other than all these, we laughed a lot about a lot of craps. Until Sijia and Michelle alight the mrt, all of us got a chance to take a breather. After today, I realised that Sijia is a very funny person. HAHA! oh well, I'd better go and sleep now, so that I can wake up early to practise tmr. Competition is 2 more days later!
Oh! By the way, my junior just sent me a link where you can find out your name in Japanese. Well, mine is
Shiira koo fungu uenu. What's yours? Go try it out! :)

[4 Dec 06]
YOYOYO! im feeling quite high now! haha. let me talk abt today...
though i slept for 7h today, i still feel very sleepy, but no choice, so i woke up n pracced. then i went to sch to open m401 door for mic to collect her court shoes. mic received a call frm xiquan saying that he's at our school canteen. we were quite surprised to hear that cos it's weird for him to come to our sch for no reason. when we waited for him at the bus stop, junzhi called me n said,"call me when u board 157." i was totally shocked! how did he get to know that i went to sch?! mic thought xiquan was with them that's y they knew, but it wasnt lah. soon, xiquan arrived. After explaining, we realized that he was at hcjc canteen, not ny canteen. I wonder how mic heard it as ny. Lol. Then a 157 arrived, so I called junzhi. When we reached the hcjc bus stop, chris n junzhi boarded the bus. I tried to ask them how they knew that I went to sch, but they kept saying that they r stalkers, rather than telling me the truth. Haha… ok… fine. upon reaching the interchange, we saw jiali waiting for sherry. only when we got off the bus, we realized that we were on the same bus as sherry. (yup. that was pretty silly.) then we walked towards the cc in a big grp.
During prac, junzhi randomly commented to huiling that her erhu looks like qian1 nian2 erhu, cos there was lots of rosin on her erhu. Wanglong heard it n he turned back to look at us. Huiling started to blow the rosin from her erhu. There was so much rosin that some were blown into wanglong’s eye! Haha! OH! When we were practicing the zhong yin sheng n zhonghu two become one part of yulinling, huiling couldn’t think of examples to tell them how the ‘groove’ must be like. So she looked around for examples. FINALLY, she saw me n an idea popped into her brain. Lol! she said, “UH! This part should be like ….” She sang, “Sheila is a girl….” HAHA! Like since when im part of the lyrics of yulinling! MIRACULOUSLY, after huiling gave them the example, kuangit n szemin managed to play the way huiling requested. Hahaha! But not only me, peiyan is also involved in the lyrics of the tanbo melody part! Haha!
After prac, we had dinner. Cos we reached downstairs rather late, there was no more chairs for us (as in mic, sijia n me). We brought our food out n ate at the benches. After eating, I followed mic, sijia n jeanette to the vending machine to buy drinks. Then sijia started saying, “ehhh… do u know that drinking cold drinks after eating oily food is bad for our body? Cos when oil is put under low temperatures, it will solidify n form white solid particles. If u don’t believe, u can try put a bowl of oily soup into the fridge. The next day when u see it, u can see white particles forming on the surface of the soup. Which means if u drink cold drinks, the particles will be in ur stomach!” jeanette n mic burst into laughter after hearing that. As the usual me, I was slow n didn’t catch what she was saying, so I made her repeat n repeat. Lol. after all the laughing, we began to talk crap n make ourselves laugh again.
At SCH, layting n szemin took pictures of peiyan being part of the exhibit. Cos peiyan looks like a statue in an exhibition when she stands behind her yangqin jiao3. Amazed, I went to join her. Heehee. Soon, we went in to prac. Sadly, zls cancelled chris’s guan solo. All of us felt sad for him cos he had spent a long time to prac that part. But overall, zls said we did quite well. When zls was teaching rozie n wanglong how to bow after performing, his actions reminded us of fei4 yu4 qing1. then the guys started to sing qian1 li3 zhi1 wai4. lol.
FINALLY, everything ended. On the bus back to the cc, Derek played songs from his hp and placed the microphone of the bus at the speaker. Strangely, all of us got high as we laughed at his funny sound clips. OH! When Derek ran out of songs, chris took over the microphone n sang some weird hip hop song (hopefully I didn’t say it wrongly). Then the bus driver shouted, “小弟弟!你不要在我的 mic 乱喷口水 hor!” IT WAS SO FUNNY LAH!
Back to the cc, we played cai1 quan2 together. Denise is so lucky lah! There were 6 players altogether, apparently the difficulty level is very high, which means chances of winning r slim. Nevertheless, she managed to win us twice lah! Pro pro pro. Or rather it’s not her who is lucky, but me who is unlucky. Cos I lost xiquan in the 2 games of minesweeper. He improved so much lah! He didn’t even win me when we played previously.
Oh well, tmr is competition. Hope both groups will get into finals! (:
{ps: heheh.. i think the big font looks ugly, so i've decided to change back! :P)

yo. QUITE long time no post. haha. no choice, cos i've been preparing for my coming competitions. ensem is 2 days more n individual is 4 days more!! sigh sigh sigh...well, my day started off with xls's lesson. i met szemin at the taxi stand n went there tgt. the evil me made szemin have lesson first haha! (im supposed to be b4 szemin but... nvm!) xls has been saying that my qinqiang is too calm, dont have the flame that keeps the atmosphere high. lol. okay... i guess i have to learn to get high (cos i high bu4 qi3 lai2) :o!!then i went home n have lunch. i was supposed to meet layting n szemin at admiralty mrt station at 12.30pm, but i forgotten n thought it's 12.45pm. apparently i was late, so im very sorry! in the end mic had to wait for us too. ahhhh! im very sorry. when we were walking towards the cc, we saw a weird woman smiling at us. as in, her mouth was in the smiling state all along. we were all shocked by that. but i personally think she didnt smile on purpose, but the 'shape' has juz been fixed there. so moral of the story is: Never laugh too much.anyway, we had our prac after that. it was quite alright. i think the highlight of the day was the erhu bias grp. they were super funny when they were practising how to enter the stage. cos they took a lot of time to enter, they had to speed up. as jeanette was the first person, she was so scared that she ZOOMED in, n the rest followed her to zoom in. LOL!!! it was sooooooooooo funny lah! like robots! HAHAHAHAH! while waiting for jeanette's prac to end, mic agreed to accompany to wait for jeanette. she even helped me arrange the costumes. then we went to the playground to play swings! we started to chat abt FACTS OF LIFE (that's what she calls it. lol.). haha. after everything, the NICE mic accompanied us to j8 to buy our costumes for competition. im so happy that i managed to get a striped blouse n a pair of long black trousers! yay! jeanette too! it's rare to see her buy all her things at one go within like... 2h? haha! OH YEAH! when we were still looking for our costumes, we went into a shop where they sell super expensive clothes. a woman was trying out a white v-shape cut silk dress, with black dots. SHE LOOKS PRACTICALLY LIKE A COW LAH! LOL! jeanette even said she might be wearing that as pyjamas. so funny lah! n now that i've juz reached home, im having meeting with yiling n maureen on msn. i really owe them a BIG SORRY becos, cos of my competition, i've been missing meetings n i cant help much. moreover we're now have many difficulties. im not only late for our current meeting, i still have to sleep early cos i need to wake up early to prac tmr morning. ahhhh! REALLY VERY SORRY.
AS A CONCLUSION, i feel very ACCOMPLISHED today cos i managed to sort out all the costumes n buy my costumes today! yay! CREDITS TO MICHELLE!! thanks for helping me sort out the costumes, accompanying me to wait for jeanette n accompanying us to buy our costumes! you rock!! (:well, im gonna prac tmr morning, meet mic at m401 to open door for her to get her court shoes n have geco FINAL rehearsal. another busy day. sigh. JIAYOU BAH!
